On and Off Campus Resources

There are many resources available to Southwest University faculty, staff, and students both on and off campus. It’s important to reach out and get assistance and/or information for yourself or for someone you care about.

Preservation of evidence – a victim of sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking or other crimes may go to a hospital for treatment and preservation of evidence, if applicable, as soon as practicable after the incident.

The following are resources that may be available to the Complainant and/or Respondent involved in a Title IX incident and/or investigation:

COUNSELING

    Center Against Sexual and Family Violence: 

Provide 24/7 Crisis Hope Line, emergency shelter, support groups, hospital accompaniment for  victims of sexual and family violence.

    La Pinon Sexual Assault Recovery Services of Southern New Mexico: 

Services provided include a crisis line, victim advocacy, compensation, assistance with legal processes, and others.

Provide intervention services to help survivors of family and domestic violence, including medical attention, access to a women’s shelter, psychological treatment, and legal help.

    Ft. Bliss-Family Advocacy Program:

Provide support for soldiers and their families related to strengthening family bonds and assisting victims of domestic abuse, child abuse and neglect.
