Associate of Applied Science in Automotive Technology

18-Month Program

(72 Weeks)

The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Automotive Technology Program is designed to assist students in gaining the necessary skills and abilities to work in a mechanical environment.

Students will learn the basic preventative maintenance procedures for gasoline engines, brake systems, transmission, electrical systems, transaxles, diagnostic equipment, steering, and suspension.

Students will gain experience working with domestic and imported vehicles. Students will gain experience working with diagnostic systems and HVAC. Students who complete this program will gain the necessary skills and abilities that will help prepare graduates for employment opportunities at mechanic shops.

Associate of Applied Science in Diesel Technology

16-Month Program

(66 Weeks)

The Associate of Applied Science in Diesel Technology Program is designed to assist students in gaining the necessary skills and abilities to work in a diesel-mechanical environment. Students will learn the basic preventative maintenance procedures for medium and large engines as well as diesel engine tractors and tractor trailers.

Students will learn to work with Detroit Diesel and Cummins Diesel engines. Students will gain experience with computer diagnostic systems and HVAC.

Students who complete this program will gain the necessary skills and abilities that will help prepare them for employment opportunities at diesel mechanic shops.

Certificate in Welding Program

14-Month Program

(60 Weeks)

The Welding Technology Program is designed to assist students in gaining the necessary skills and abilities to work in the welding trade. Students will learn the basic principles of welding, fabrication, blueprint reading metallurgy structural, and pipe welding.

This program will help prepare students with the necessary skills for employment opportunities in the welding trade industry.

The program worked with the American Welding Society (AWS) and became an Accredited Testing Facility (ATF) in early 2023, in response to critical labor shortages and an aging workforce.
